TeamSpeak 2 Windows Client - Minimum Requirements

Pentium 166 MHz CPU
64 MBytes of RAM
6 MBytes of harddisk space
DirectX 8.1 (available at http://www.microsoft.com/directx)
An Internet connection or LAN
A full-duplex soundcard
A microphone (if you want to be able to talk, not just listen)

TeamSpeak 2 Linux Client - Minimum Requirements

Distribution of Linux
Pentium 166 MHz CPU
64 MBytes of RAM
10 MBytes of harddisk space
An X server (like XFree86)
An Internet connection or LAN
A full-duplex soundcard
A microphone (if you want to be able to talk, not just listen)

TeamSpeak 2 Windows Server - Minimum Requirements

Microsoft Microsoft Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista
Pentium 166 MHz processor and 64 MBytes of RAM for Windows 98 and 98 Second Edition
Pentium II class processor and 128 MBytes of RAM for all other Windows flavours

TeamSpeak 2 Linux Server - Minimum Requirements

Distribution of Linux (we recommend the use of Debian Linux)
For a console Linux box (without running a graphical user interface like an X server or equivalents) a Pentium 100 MHz processor and 32 MBytes of RAM will suffice
For a Linux box with a graphical user interface we recommend a Pentium 166 MHz processor with 64 MBytes of RAM

TeamSpeak 2 - Bandwidth Requirements

The amount of users a TeamSpeak server can handle depends primarily on the server's Internet connection as CPU usage is very low
Most typical home based DSL and Cable Modem connections may have difficulty handling more than 5 to 10 simultaneous users at a time
If you experience choppiness or lag when speaking due to bandwidth limitations, you may want to consider visiting our Authorized Hosters page and renting a server

TeamSpeak 2 - Server Farming Recommendations

Authorized TeamSpeak Host Providers (ATHPs) that intend to mass-provision or "farm" TeamSpeak servers should be aware of the following recommendations to optimize performance and stability:

Spawn no more than 50 to 75 virtual servers maximum per TeamSpeak instance (running binary)
Although MySQL (3.x) support is available, in TeamSpeak 2 it is still somewhat experimental and not recommended for use in a production environment
Consider using the native SQLite TeamSpeak 2 database which is installed by default
